List Building

All over the Internet you'll see marketers using lead capture pages to get your email address so that they can send you emails later. They are usually trying to get you back to their site to make a purchase, they sell your name to another marketer, or they market products they are affiliated with. There is also a market for this type of information. People pay others to learn how to build a list of customers. Here you will find some tips and techniques I have read about and as I try them out I will report my successes and my improvements.

I have been most successful marketing an affiliate website that gives away a free website like the one my visitors see in exchange for their name and email address. It is a site that reviews affiliate products and gives the owner credit if the product is bought from their affiliate link. My site, InternetFortunePackage.com, has been up for a few months now and I have 15 subscribers to that list. I received the subscribers through an advertisement in an e-zine. It cost me around $30. I say around because it has been awhile and I don't remember the exact amount. That means it cost me about $2 per lead. That isn't good or bad to me because I don't have anything to compare it to. The downside is that I don't really know what to do with the list now that I have it.

Enough about that though. This is a blog that is about list building. I will give tips that I've read about and tried and hopefully get feedback from my visitors letting me know about their successes and tips on improving my methods. I am also going to put up an RSS feed to this blog so others may use what I write here. Come back often for more tips, or subscribe to my blog to get updates as I post them.
